Some are confused and some just wonder what does that term stand for and how does it work?
It’s quite simple. As the name says Mail In/Post In, you would post your device for a repair to us. This option is particularly useful for people who are not able to visit us for whatever reason. If you are one of those people who:
- Live too far from us
- Are too busy to come to us
- Can’t make it within our opening times
Or any other reason, a Mail In repair service is an ideal solution for you.
Yes, there is a downside… you would be without your device for a couple of days but, hey! It will come back functioning as well as it did before the damage occurred… t&cs apply ;)
So the most important part.. how does it work? What are the benefits and risks of sending your device to us?
The benefit is that you will be able to use our 5* service no matter what your location is and that you will receive your device back within 2-5 working days maximum * (depending on type of repair, most are completed and sent off within this particular time frame).
The risks are that your device may get damaged in transit to us. To prevent this from happening, we advise our customers to pack their device securely e.g. in bubble wrap or inflatable wrap and a cardbox box. When it comes to postage back to you, we use the same process we advise to use.. bubble wrap and a cardbox box and so far haven’t had any issues with damage in transit.
If you are worried about the device getting lost on it’s way to us, we recommend to use Royal Mail Special Service or a courier service such as DHL.
Postage providers you could use to get your device to us:
